In the different countries we speak the same horses language 

A Böckmann trailer is welcomed today as a matter of course in many countries with the same enthusiasm. And naturally, with the same expectations of a vehicle with outstanding quality, design & functionality and with an extremely long service life – in brief, a “first class trailer”. After all, the principles of conscientious workmanship have remained the same at Böckmann ever since the early origins of the company – so that the expectations of our many enthusiastic customers have also remained the same!

Right from the start: “Practical solutionsfor practical situations”. 

It was back in 1956 that Anton Böckmann started his company together with his wife Brigitte. Obviously, there have been many changes since those early days: the workforce of just 4 employees has meanwhile expanded to more than 250. An offering of a trailer for just one horse has developed into a wide product range offering the right trailer for all equestrian disciplines and demands. The company formerly known as “The South Oldenburg Forge”, now produces “First Class Trailers”; and yet, in spite of the huge changes to the general conditions over the years, the way of developing customised, horse-oriented transport solutions has always remained the same; because both yesterday and today, Böckmann works to “practical solutions for practical situations”. A love and passion for horses, a sensitive awareness of the animals and their needs, together with a wealth of technical know-how were integrated as a key element in trailer development right from the start. Soon after producing increasing quantities of livestock trailers for agricultural purposes, the first horse trailers were also in production. Initially, this happened solely to cover Böckmann’s own needs. Before the first horse trailer was sold, it had already proven its worth for many months in Böckmann’s own stables. Used on a daily basis for handling and transporting horses, the trailers quickly became sturdy, comfortable and durable vehicles. And what’s most important: they were designed “from the point of view of the horses”. This has always proven to be a clear advantage and is something Böckmann has always preserved right through to today: the horse’s well-being comes first and foremost. The company still develops its trailers “from the inside out” – for the love of horses.
